Hi, I'm Joe Pasnarek. I write for The Herald-Tribune. No, not that one. The weekly one for the greater Blowforks County area.
Anyway, I usually cover high school sports, but my editor tells me to interview Peyton Manning as he signs autographs for fans at Pebble Beach.
I feel a little sleazy ambushing him, but another part of me is screaming that this is the bigtime break I've been waiting for.
So I do some research on the unarguably best quarterback in the modern era, but I hear he is not as great in the playoffs. In the regular season, he throws only 2.8 interceptions per attempt. But it goes to 3.0 in playoffs.
I'm thinking, "Big whoop, a whopping 0.2 percent." Then I look at his 5.6 touchdown percentage in the regular season ...
