Indianapolis Colts Sign Undrafted Linebacker Larry Lumpkin

After Josh Gordon was the only supplemental draft prospect selected on Thursday, we expected another prospect to catch on with an NFL team quickly. That indeed happened, but instead of former first-time all Mountain West running Ed Wesley, it was former first-team all-South Atlantic conference linebacker Larry Lumpkin.
Aaron Wilson of Scout.com reports that the Indianapolis Colts signed Lumpkin to a contract on July 13.
The Colts are quite possibly the best team that Lumpkin could have signed with in terms of opportunity and competition. He's athletic and versatile enough to fit well at one of the inside linebacker spots in defensive coordinator Greg Manusky's 3-4 scheme.
