After inconsistent performances in the first two weeks, the Indianapolis Colts defense throttled the San Francisco 49ers in a 27-7 win on Sunday.
Even with top targets like WR Michael Crabtree and TE Vernon Davis out for San Francisco, this kind of showing for the Colts defense was completely unexpected.
