Tony Dungy ^[1] is the stuff of legends in Indianapolis, and he is returning to the Colts ^[2] this offseason to help with training camp and give advice to head coach Chuck Pagano. 

Dungy, who is the only coach in history with six straight 12-win seasons, is an excellent motivator and will provide a great boost for an organization in full-blown rebuilding mode. 

Dungy’s return was first reported by Colts beat writer Mike Chappell, via Twitter

The fact that Owner Jim Irsay decided to bring Dungy on board is a telling sign that he is willing to do whatever it takes to jump-start the rebuilding process. 

What Dungy was able to do with Peyton Manning ^[7] was unprecedented. If Dungy can help Pagano mold rookie quarterback Andrew Luck in a similar fashion, the rebuilding process in Indianapolis will be a quick and smooth one. 

While the discussions between Dungy and Pagano may never come to light, the latter would be wise to soak up everything he can from the former offensive guru. Dungy left on his own terms; had he not, he could still be the coach in Indianapolis. 

For the players, some of the older veterans will likely be happy to see their former coach once more. The younger players who have yet to work with Dungy should be treating it like a once in a lifetime opportunity.
