Indianapolis Colts vs. Pittsburgh Steelers: Preseason Week 2 Live Blog

The first Sunday Night Football game of the year happened to be a good matchup. Many thought Pittsburgh would steamroll the Colts [1], but Indy held their own. After Pittsburgh scored on a 57-yard touchdown pass from Ben Roethlisberger [2] to Antonio Brown, the Steelers [3] answered with a pick six on Andrew Luck [4]’s first career NFL [5] interception to make the score 14-0.
From there, the Colts stepped up and stopped beating themselves and score 17 unanswered points in the second quarter to take a 17-14 halftime lead.
The Colts, started the third quarter off pretty good after getting their punt blocked and giving up a field goal to tie the game at 17. Second string quarterback Drew Stanton hit rookie receiver Griff Whalen for a touchdown to give the Colts the lead back at 24-17.
That was the last time the Colts would score as Pittsburgh kicked three more field goals including one with 20 seconds left to seal the victory. Both teams are now 1-1 in the preseason and need to fix some holes and get healthy as we’re now at the halfway point in the preseason.
